Submit Your Baby Nursery Setup Design

First, we are looking for baby nursery designs/setups that have not yet appeared in print or online (magazines, social media, websites, blogs, etc).

Second, we tend to gravitate toward nurseries full of character, whether that comes through in a modern, vintage, fairy-tale, classic, or other fresh, fun, or festive look.

Third, we adore creative elements and details that made your baby nursery a unique, one-of-a-kind (your/family personality shines through) design celebration!

A real baby nursery design/setup can be submitted to us by the parent(s) who designed the space.

To be considered for a feature, a baby nursery design completion can be as recent as yesterday, but not older than six months.

Yes. We do not accept baby nursery designs/setups that have been, or will soon be, published in another magazine, on a blog, or social media.

Please no not simultaneously submit to other outlets if you want to be considered for a feature in SSM. We require exclusivity during the consideration process and for 30 days after the baby nursery is published in our magazine and/or website. After our exclusivity time ends, you can submit your baby nursery to other magazines and websites for their consideration.

We aim to make a decision and attempt to let you know within two weeks (14 calendar days) of receipt if we are interested in featuring your baby nursery in a future print issue and/or online. We will be in touch with you by email only if we are interested in featuring your design celebration. We thank you for your patience during this process. If you haven't heard from us after two weeks of your submission, feel free to submit your baby nursery design to other outlets.

We ask that you wait to post photos or videos of your baby nursery on websites and social media until 10 days after your feature's publication date in print or online. Upside: You will experience the full and glorious impact of appearing in a glossy — and getting to show it off on the day of its publication!

Yes. Print real baby nurseries will be posted on our website and social media once the magazine they're in is published.

Along with your stellar baby nursery description, we ask that you submit 50-150 thoughtfully curated high-quality candid photos that we can download directly through a LINK using a file sharing program like Dropbox or Google Drive. Please do not directly invite us to a Dropbox or Google Drive folder. Include any passwords and adjust privacy settings as necessary.

Photos should be a mix of vertical and horizontal shots. Ideally, photos should focus on details, details, details! Include special decor elements (handmade?!) that show the nursery’s theme and personality.

Absolutely! If you had friend and family creatives and/or vendors extraordinaire and want to further thank them and show your appreciation, then by all means, go ahead and mention them in your baby nursery description. Be sure to mention their business websites and/or social media handles, if applicable, to share some extra love.
